Football
Football in Our School
Gaelic football plays a big part in the life of Maynooth BNS. As one of our national sports it is actively promoted within the school. We receive wonderful support from Maynooth GAA club in helping with this promotion. All pupils are given the opportunity to experience Gaelic Football during their years in our school. This happens through the PE curriculum, the regular mini-leagues and tournaments that are arranged in the school and through the various Cumann na mBunscoil Cill Dara competitions that are held each year.
These competitions take place at under 10, under 11 and under 13 levels. The school teams at all levels are very competitive and have achieved notable success at each of these levels both recently and in years gone by. You can relive our past glories by clicking on the links on the right.
