Gaelic Games play a huge role in the life of our school. Football and hurling are actively promoted within the school and the strong links with Maynooth GAA club ensure that a healthy interest in our national games exists within our school. This is exemplified by the fact that the club coaches come into our school on a weekly basis. It is great to see the high levels of participation and enjoyment that these weekly sessions bring to our pupils.

Either through PE or through team training sessions, football and hurling are visible in our school almost every day. On a competitive level, we enter every competition available (Under 10, 11 & Senior) and have had some noteworthy success in recent years. The Under 11 football and hurling double win in 2017 stands out among these successes. This helped to garner the prestigious Large School of the Year 2017 award which is displayed proudly in our trophy cabinet.

Thanks to the many teachers within the school who arrange training and matches for the boys. With so many pupils participating and with so many enthusiastic coaches both in and out of the school, we feel that the future is bright for Gaelic Games in our school. Good luck on the field lads!
